Denver Union Station

Don’t miss Denver’s landmark historic train station, Union Station, which reopened in 2014 after a $54 million renovation, for a fun day out with the kids, within walking distance of The Maven. Start with a cone or milkshake from Milkbox Ice Creamery, which scoops up 16 delicious flavors from Denver’s wildly popular Little Man Ice Cream. During the warmer months, cool off in the pop-up fountain on the building’s Wynkoop Plaza. Family-friendly restaurants inside Denver Union Station include Next Door Eatery, Acme Delicatessen, Terminal Bar and Snooze, an A.M. Eatery—one of Denver’s hottest spots for breakfast.
Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus

Confluence Park & REI

Downtown Denver’s Confluence Park sits at the junction of the South Platte River and Cherry Creek. This expansive river park features several sprawling lawns, two bridges, and multiple spots where you can dip your toes in the water. On summer weekends, families enjoy rides on the Platte Valley Trolley and kayaking on the man-made whitewater course on the South Platte.
The western edge of Confluence Park is home to the REI Denver Flagship store, which offers a 47-foot high indoor Climbing Pinnacle that is open daily and encompasses more than 6,400 square feet of hand-sculpted rock surface.
Denver Skatepark
